Staying in these places will be a highlight of your tour with each one offering something special and different. Some are historic castles, others are in places of extraordinary beauty with fabulous views or have world-class spas, golf courses and other facilities available.You can expect large individually decorated bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, exceptional levels of service and facilities and a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Ashford Castle

5 star Castle Hotel

Antiques and fine furnishing, large individually decorated bedrooms, comfortable drawing rooms, great restaurants and bars, in a castle almost 700 years old. Fine dining is overseen by a Michelin starred chef, with more casual dining in Cullen’s Cottage.

In the evening relax in the lovely cocktail bar or enjoy live traditional music in the Dungeon Bar. Outside the 350 acre estate has golf, salmon and trout fishing, hose riding and falconry among the activities on offer.

Ballynahinch Castle

5 star Castle Hotel

In an exceptionally beautiful location in Connemara, Ballynahinch sits at the centre of a private 450 acre estate of woodland, walks and rivers, including a famous salmon fishery. There are just 40 bedrooms, each with its own character and decor and some with four poster beds.

The renowned Owenmore Restaurant serves a menu based on the exceptional meat, fresh fish and game available in this part of Ireland, with the Fishermans Pub offering more casual dining for both lunch and dinner. Fishing, golf, walking, pony trekking, hiking, cycling, golfing, scuba diving, sailing and woodcock shooting are all available either on the estate or close by.

Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa

5 star Luxury Spa Hotel

Aghadoe is an elegant and contemporary resort hotel overlooking the lakes of Killarney with spectacular views from every room. The Lake Restaurant, with its emphasis on local produce, has deservedly won many awards,  with food also served into the evening in the Heights Lounge and in a chic bar overlooking the lakes.

The Aghadoe Spa has a wonderful indoor pool with sauna and and jacuzzi and offers a comprehensive range of treatments along with a luxurious relaxation area, a mini-gym and extensive thermal suite. Golf, tennis, fishing, biking, rock climbing, canoeing and walking are all available locally.

Glasha Farmhouse

Farmhouse Accommodation

Situated in the peaceful and beautiful Nire Valley, Glasha Farmhouse is a 150 year old traditional farmhouse on a working dairy farm. Large rooms with excellent furnishings and bathrooms (some with jacuzzi) are the match of any hotel and the welcome is warm, personal and genuine – if ever there was a home away from home this is it.

With an open fire burning in the cosy living room, leisurely walks around the farm, an airy and bright conservatory to relax in, this is a place where you will relax, unwind and forget about everyday concerns.

Pembroke Hotel

4 star Boutique Hotel

A modern boutique hotel located in the centre of Kilkenny, a stroll from the Castle and the abundance of excellent shops, bars and restaurants and at the heart of the many cultural events for which this medieval city is renowned.

The hotel bar and grill has a huge serves seasonal food all day, from morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea to evening tapas and an a la carte dinner, and is popular with both guests and locals.

The G Hotel

5 star Boutique Hotel

Designed by Philip Tracey The G is a contemporary hotel decorated in a unique and sometimes quirky style, situated close to the city centre overlooking Galway Bay. The menu in the opulent Matz Restaurant uses fresh, local and often organic ingredients while simpler fare such as perfect burgers and traditional fish and chips are served all day in three individually styled lounges.

The hotel spa offers a wide range of treatments and like the rest of the G is beautifully and unusually decorated.

Hayfield Manor

5 star Hotel

A period style building set in its own grounds close to Cork city center, Hayfield has the ambiance of a stylish and comfortable country house with impeccable furnishing and antiques, paintings and fresh flowers in abundance. Even the Beautique spa, with its indoor pool and treatment rooms, is furnished with antiques.

There are two restaurants, one in the conservatory which offers food all day, the other a more formal evening option, and a stylish bar which seamlessly combines traditional and contemporary decor. Bedrooms are large, beautiful and very luxurious, with exceptional bathrooms.

Savoy Limerick

A modern hotel with an old-fashioned welcome in Limerick city, the Savoy is known for its excellent service and offers exceptional value for money. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in a warm style and with excellent bathrooms. There is a popular hotel bar where locals and guests mingle and two restaurants, The Liszt Lounge which serves food all day and the Savoy Restaurant for more formal evening dining.

The hotel’s Aqua and Fitness club has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and mini gym and a full range of spa treatments is available.

Killarney Royal Hotel

4 star boutique hotel

Beautifully decorated in warm and comfortable period style, this family run hotel is welcoming and friendly, and while the ambiance is relaxed and informal it is complemented by exceptional service. There are just 29 individually designed bedrooms each with a sitting areas and a large marbled bathroom.

An informal bar and bistro serves light food all day and is popular with locals as well as hotel guests, while the main restaurant is is more formal and has a menu that combines traditional and contemporary dishes using local ingredients.

Harvey’s Point

4 star country hotel

Stunningly located at the foot of a mountain overlooking Lough Eske, Harvey’s point has always been renowned for it’s service and friendliness. Bedrooms are individually and stylishly furnised and are exceptionally large, with huge beds and baths also a feature.

The main restaurant is elegant and stylish and has been gaining increasing plaudits for its imaginative style of cooking. It’s a foodie favourite and eating there is an experience no guest should miss. More casual dining is available in The Winebar while the cosy traditional bar with its open fire is a great place for a cocktail or a nightcap.

Slieve Donard Resort & Spa

4 star spa hotel

With its magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne as they sweep majestically down to the sea, this Victorian hotel has been welcoming guests since 1897 – many of today’s guests are continuing a family tradition as old as the hotel itself. Bedrooms, like the rest of the hotel, have been recently redecorated ad are stylish and roomy, with a surprisingly contemporary feel, though the hotel tradition of providing yellow rubber ducks in the bathrooms continues.

There are excellent restaurants and bars, the spa include a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, vitality pool and fitness studio, while golfers will revel in the famed Royal County Down golf club which is right next to the hotel.
